Career milestones for Murray Birrell Founding Directors

In 2022, both our founding directors Keith Murray and Stuart Birrell achieved the landmark of 40 years as RICS Chartered Surveyors.  In total they have been Building Surveyors for over 46 years each, and Fellows of the RICS for 27 years. In addition, the company is 30 years old later this year. Congratulations are due to them for such huge achievements!

It all started back in 1976, when Keith met Stuart at Erith College of Technology while studying for their RICS direct exams in building surveying. Born just two weeks apart, their careers then followed an incredibly parallel path before forming their own company together, Murray Birrell Chartered Surveyors, in 1992.

Keith and Stuart have built their business based on friendship and respect, alongside expert technical knowledge. This ethos runs throughout the company and has helped secure repeat business and form many long-term client relationships over the years.
