Acting on behalf of the client, Murray Birrell’s role is generally to undertake a development monitoring function in order to ensure compliance with a development or other agreement. It involves liaison with the developer, contractor and their teams, together with some neighbourly issues relating to access and use of any private roadways.
Monthly inspections are carried out and a report describing progress, quality, statutory compliance, health & safety issues and compliance with the development or other agreement is issued on a regular basis.
The role usually includes liaison with the client’s related architects, engineers and surveyors, and also solicitors in respect of oversailing and scaffold licences.
