The Pyramus & Thisbe Society, a Learned Society established in 1974, seeks to advance knowledge of party wall legislation and procedure, and to promote best professional practice in its application.
Now, the P&T Society wants to promote best practice with Women in Surveying, Diversity and Inclusion, starting with a listening session at the offices of Osborne Clarke on International Women’s Day.
Murray Birrell Director and P&T Society board member Stuart Birrell FRICS was in attendance, along with the Chairman of the P&T Fareed Fetto and also Michael Cooper, the current London Chairman.
People shared their personal experiences, and there were some great suggestions about inclusiveness and how to make people feel welcome.
Thank you to everyone who attended and shared their thoughts and stories. Particular thanks to Victoria Woolf, Hannah Boyd and Louis Maycock for helping to either organise this event and/or offering to help with solutions.
Stuart says: “It was a really positive experience, and we look forward to implementing the suggested initiatives to make the P&T even more inclusive and welcoming to everyone.”
An exciting new phase for the P&T and a great way to celebrate International Women's Day.
